The weather was fantastic, the
backdrop was simply stunning and for everyone taking part, it was certainly
challenging. I don't think it's something you will ever forget and it
demonstrated the importance of team work. Achieving a finish time of under an
hour in my opinion was exceptional. Well done! Our aim was to raise a huge
chunk of money for our 2 charities and with everyone's help, we've done just
that. Being the first Grand Race, we thank you for all your patience and hope
you enjoyed the day as much as the event team did. What was equalling rewarding
on the day, was a return commitment of the teams for a future date. Are you all
mad? Seriously though, because of the success of the event, it does look like
we're coming back next year bigger and hopefully stronger than
before.

Speaking on behalf of the grand race
team and I'm sure for all the teams, I like to express thanks to Cairngorm
Mountain Ltd for invading their place. A special thanks to G2 Outdoor, Aviemore
for the belay vehicle support and to the NDS for all their rehearsal effort and
marshalling the event.
Thanks to The National Autistic
Society Scotland Team and to Disability Snowsport UK for
your support.

On a final note, none of this would
have happened if it weren't for the support from the teams themselves, so please
accept our warmest thanks for taking part and for raising an overwhelming
amount. You should all be very proud of yourselves.
In the mean time, get training now
for next year and we look forward to seeing you all back then. Keep a regular
check on the website for details.
